Wow - a 500 mile battery

Valvoline Premium Blue on sale $12.99

Does anyone have any experience with bullydog, ATS, or MSD's propane injection kits? How easy/hard to install, cost, reliability, performance, cost of operation? I am looking at buying one but I have heard no feedback from any owners running any of these kits. Any info would be appreciated.

I would like to know why the kits are so expensive. There is really not much to them and they cost over $600. And the tank is not included.

Hello JEastbourn, I installed the ATS propane kit on a 98. 5 24 valve. My customer swears he picked up 4 mpg  I would say its more like 2 to 2. 5 mpg.

I tried to install the MSD kit on my personal truck but after no less then 20 phone calls to the MSD tech line, waiting 3 weeks for them to reflash the computer and send it back after they lost it, I finally gave up and went back to the ATS kit. I picked up 70 hp and it took less then 3 hours to install. I haven't driven enough miles to give an honest report of any fuel savings but I will report back after I run thru a few tanks of diesel. Propane in my part of the country is running about 2. 55 a gallon and my 9. 9 gallon tank should last to 1 tank of diesel. The ATS system is very easy to install.

Hope this helps,

John

jglasgow,

Where did you get your tank from and where do you get it filled? There aren't many propane stores in my area. How long does it take to fill and is your tank in your bed? Thanks.
