I'm considering installing a propane kit on my 2004 1/2 dually. $1,600 installed and it should bring 100 additional HP. Anyone do this yet? Advantages/Disadvantages?

What are you using for a LP bottle? I have a DOT approved, under body tank with remote fill. if your interested.

... Mpgs will increase.

Yes but only because you are burning less diesel. You are burning propane to make up the difference in the amount of fuel burned.

I'm not a big fan of propane injection on a diesel. Propane is a very " dry " fuel, that is : no lubricant. There are easier and cheaper ways to get more power if that's what you want. JMHO Shadrach

this is a good topic! I don't think i would run it daily. Just adding it for heavy towing is its biggest selling point. I don't think i would use it for any other application personally.
