Can anyone tell me if the propane kit from diesel performance products is a good one to use for 399. 00.
Also can i use the propane every day with out herting anything.

My understanding with propane injection was that a lot of folks were giving it up due to major damage that can happen when the setup screws up, like in outside temperature changes. I would research it much more before going forward.

I think that the Diesel Performance Propane injection would be good in a stock pickup, but on mine where I have the stock plate slide all the way forward and that is it for fueling.

I'm getting too much propane in because my motor kind of knocks when I'm under full throttle.

He has an orfice in the regulator is what i was told and I need to figure out a way to make a smaller one or an adjustable one. I have an axcetaline guage tapped into the regulator and can get up to 20 psi on a hot day. When the LP tank PSI is high enough. I had my waste gate un hooked for a while but there was way too much propane going in at 35 psi of boost.

As for power. Lets just say that an 8500 pound dually spinning 360 degree circles in front of John Deere for some guys is just plain AWSOME. #ad

You might post this in the 24v forum or in the general to get a wider audience. I am pretty sure I saw one of these at the last NW BOMBers get together. The guy seemed to really like it. I also recall others recently recommending it to another propane post.

I dont have a propane system, but from what I got, they like the variable oriface stuff. Can be adjusted so 1# boost = 1 unit propane, and 30# boost = 30 units propane for example. As the boost level changes so does the propane level.

On the other hand, if you are crusing along at 70 with 5# boost do you really need the propane getting used up. Could be nice to have a system that comes on, only when you have the throttle pressed. -- Of course there is the off switch.

Anyways besides installation and mounting, I would do some research on how the different ones are adjusted, and how that translates to real world driving situations. How does this behave when I am crusing? Stop and Stop morning commute? Towing ?

Then send me email with your report so I know what to get, too!
