propane?

hello:

well, i got my propane system a few days ago! look simple to install, but havn't had the time yet. any of you guys rumming propane? what kind of performance should i expect? i only bought it to play with,not looking for any milage increases... . james...

Dunno which propane system you have, but I recently bought and installed the Power Shot 2000 system - seems to deliver noticeable increase in power running empty, will be going on a RV tow into the Sierras Thursday, and THAT is where I am counting on a substantial power increase. Have also installed the "Double Deep" transmission pan on my 727 3-speed AT - will provide a detailed report on both when we return Sunday...

i also bought the powershot 2000. i havnt hooked it up yet . do you have yours set for performance,or milage? the only reason i bought mine is for the track and when those little powerjokes want to play. hope it was worth the money!

I have mine set for MAXIMUM performance. including adjusting the regulator to open earlier than "normal"... I'm looking for maximum adviseable power for pulling loads in the hills - not drag racing or stoplite wars. Like you, I'm out to set my older truck up to stay ahead on the new Ford and GM stuff - been successfull SO far



Other times, around town with no load or out empty on the freeway, the system will be turned off, and the engine and drivetrain operating at stock load for nice long lifespan!



By the first of the week, I'll either be singing praises of the PS system, or asking LOTS of pointed questions...
