Propane

I have a 30 lb tank that never seems to empty. The other one emptys totally. Yesterday I had to got get propane and one tank had over half left. It just will not come out. Why?

You have something in there that is not propane, probably oil. A friend of mine had a 20# like that once. I think he threw it away. Need to remove the valve when the propane is gone and dump it. bg

If it is the new OPD type, it is quite possible you have a problem with the OPD valve.



There were many of the first ones out that had a problem similar to what you are saying.



There were some that would not even fill. 2 out of five that I have had experience with were bad.

You might try taking the tank to a safe location,opening the

valve,bleed off all the pressure and see if there is still

liquid in the tank. If there is,you have something other than

propane in the tank. After the pressure is gone,try pouring

it out. I'm not sure it will come out,because of the opd.
