That's your choice Stephan, but think if this;

Our truck weighs 1000+ lbs. more than yours, and runs 14. 3 at 91. 24 , and you are running my tires on your truck so that makes things even in terms of traction.

We run a stock turbo

We have no EGT over 1450

Smoke is non existant after the 60 ft clocks

We still get over 20 mpg highway and 16 towing 6000 lbs.

We run a PRO TORQUE 1600 stall, lock up converter

Transgo shift kit

In a stock transmission with 48,000 miles on it.

No other drivetrain mods have been done, nor any mystery switches.

What ever works for you :):)

Ted,

We were running our tire pressure way to high (24lbs) so traction was a big issue. I couldn't 60 foot under 2. 10sec.

Piers informed me that I also had a boost leak so I was only getting 32lbs of boost. :( My egt's with Pier's New turbo were only 1350. Normally I get 40+lbs of boost.

I also ran with NO LOCK-UP, because our goal is to make the TC's live, proving to our customers that lock-up was a non-factor.

I will be taking our truck out on july 7th&8th and run the same set-up, with better track conditions(not so hot and humid). I figure that I could hit the 13's. :D :D

Then after I will put in the Super Mentals.

We also ran 24 lbs. in the slicks but with the heavier weight, traction was not an issue, Understandable with the lighter truck, try 20 lbs.

Driving and traction will affect ET, but not MPH, I suspect you have the potential to run 14. 3 as well based on your MPH.

Keep us posted, Good Luck!

Ted,

What did franks truck 60'?

I heard that it was around 1. 7. I now that Adam 60's that as well.

I figure that if I can even get my 60 foot times to even 1. 8-1. 9 that I should be real close to the 13's. As we both drag race and know that the most crutial point of a race is getting the truck out of the hole. And 2-3 tenths off the 60 foot = closer to 4-5 tenths of your 1/4 mile times.

I will definately keep everyone posted.

I will soon change my turbine housing from a 12 to a 14cm to compare, so that everyone can see what it did for me.

Like I said the track conditions also will make a big difference, I feel just be running at Mission that my times should drop to about 14. 4. :D

60 FT. times are consistantly 1. 66 to 1. 68, it is funny seeing the look on the car guys face with there look of disbelief:eek:

You will need more MPH to run quicker than 14. 3 ET.

94 MPH + to run 13. 9
