Proportioning valve

Hey all, been scouring online and parts resources to no avail. I replaced my hydroboost a week or so ago and when I went to reattach my proportioning valve my dumbass stripped out the aluminum threads . I ordered a used 1 off ebay that I thought would work, turns out it's a little too different. FML. What to do? You can't find oem replacements anywhere and I don't have a clue about the adjustable ones. I'm lost, any help would be appreciated, this is front wheel abs only.

I'm not sure, never crossed my mind. I dont think that is even a consideration with the flared seating of the brake lines

@Kevin Hoffert, I'd say it's time for a machine shop. They'd be able to fix threads or go up on a fitting size with an adapter. Can't see any difference between the 2 pics?

You should be able to get inverted flare to pipe thread adapters. Drill and tap to pipe thread and screw in the adapter.

So the 1 I bought if u look closely it has a top and bottom valve. And the mounting bracket is angled differently

Without trying hard, I found a couple, at Speedway Motors and at Amazon. Not sayin' that they will fit, just that adapters are out there. We would need to know what size the brake tube you have is, as well as the size of the male flare fitting. Since your proportioning valve body is aluminum, a brass adapter would probably work. Makes my skin crawl, though.

A for-real auto parts store can probably get an adapter for you, or have one in stock. They may also have the drill and tap set you will need. I may have the tap and drill and maybe the adapter floating around in a tool box someplace, but I would need to have the actual part in hand to figure out what's needed.

I know nothing about brake lines or standard sizes for lines or fittings. Whether they're standard or metric, these trucks are a ****in mixed bag. I do know that the upper lines going into the valve are a fine thread and the lower are course thread. I appreciate all of your 2 cents in the matter.

Take the bottom valve out, mount bracket is the easy part. Just my .02. Good luck with repair.

update
So i took the old valve to a local brake shop, and the guy told me that the one i purchased used with an upper and a lower valve on it was an updated version of the original. i installed and will update this thread when the truck is rolling
