Proud New Cummins owner!

Hey all! Just signed up. Been Coming here for a little while now and have found this site to be extremely informative! Worht every penny and then some!! I have a 2003 3500 4x4 Quad Cab 6 ft box SRW that I absolutly love! I put the 315 BFG's on it the 2nd day I owned it, put the Mopar mud flaps on and the rear wheel liners in. Truck is bone stock otherwise, until Edge officially releases the Attitude!



Anybody here ever use the Western Diesal RPM or RPM II? A friend has the same truck I do, but a 2500, eith the RPM II and it really scoots! He took it to Milan Dragway and ran 15. 30 @ 91 MPH and also ran at Ubly Dragway where he went 15. 20 @ 91 MPH. Western no longer makes those boxes, so I'm wondering if I should wait for the Edge box or try one of the other boxes you boys talk highly about. Has anyone taken their trucks to the track and posted an Et and MPH? Just would like to know how the 2500 compares. Looking forward to talking to other satisfied and happy Cummins Dodge owners!

Welcome to the TDR and congrats on a great truck. i don't have any info on boxes but can tell you that i have been recently informed the PPE is coming out with a downloader in the very near future.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm still learning some of the terminology, so please forgive me if I ask a few questions. Who is PPE and what is a downloader? Would that be a flash program for the ECM or a flash for a piggyback controller like the Edge? Or is it something completely different? I'm not looking to dip into the 12 second zone with this truck, I already have a 10 second monster I feed all too often! Just looking to bump the HP and Torque up for towing and the occasional race with an unsuspecting gas truck or muscle car. I don't want to go overboard modifying the truck as I drive it everyday, but I want to have a little fun with it. I wish Mopar would jump on the bandwagon and offer a serious performance package on the H. O. 's similar to what they are doing with the PowerWagon. It would be Awesome to have the trucks come from the factory with 100-150 extra HP and 200 ft-lbs of torque, if it weren't for that trans... . from what the guys in the Trans Lab tell me, there will be a new beefer 5 speed better than an Allison for the Dodge... Wish they would have done that in the first place.
