I put a new set of ISSPRO Gauges in my truck.

A few days after install my pryo started to bounce around. Then it just stoped.

Diesel Manor said it was the Amplifier box. sent me new one. these people give great customer service. New one worked perfect, after a week

started doing same thing. I checked all wiring nonthing wrong.

Has anyone had this problem ?

AHolt,

I have the ISSPRO Pyrometer and 60psi boost gauges. Mine acted up the same way as yours did--my pyro would bounce around at 300-500 and then lay at 100. So I tightened up the gauge connections behind the gauges on my pilar as well as at the amplifier box. Also, check the connections under the hood where the pyro wires attach to the harness wires to the box--mine have little bolts connecting the two and a shrink-wrap around it. I also tightened my grounds and lo and behold, no problems since. So while no bad connections were found, I think I may have loosed a little electrical gremlin.

PS, make sure your wire for the tap into the light switch is securely tie wrapped up and out of sight as mine hung low behind the dash and my parking brake assembly caught it and sliced it in two.

Hope this helps.

My DIPRICOL pyro guage acted up for a 24 hour period days after the gauge set was installed then quit and has acted normally ever since. It scared me when it happened because it was a very hot day in UT and NV and my gauge would peg on the hot side. I checked the exhaust manifold temperature with my handy little $29. 95 Radio Shack hand-held IR temperature guage and it didn't agree with the high dollar DIPRICOL gauge so I crossed my fingers and kept pulling. After a hundred miles or so towing a trailer at the 75 mph speed limit with no engine failure I was sure it was the gauge. Later I dropped the A pillar mount and inspected and tightened the wiring connections and it has never occurred again. Apparently the connections on the new style gauges are critical.

Had the same problem with ISSPRO EV in my 91- it was a connection somewhere- it's been 2 years and I forget where. Gotta get the connections real good and clean.
