I would like to install a Psychotty but I think the hood and fender shields/deflectors mounted on my RAM will divert airflow over the cab away from the Psychotty's intake which is through the passenger side of the cowling. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have experience with this or anyone with any ideas. Thanks in advance for your help.

Just starting down the bombing road and looking foward to the trip!

4STR... check out the local events forum for NW BOMB party... we have a ball and would enjoy meeting ya. Probably have at least 15 trucks with various BOMBings, including the psyscotty! Email me if you want directions.

Email Scotty and ask him. He has a better understanding of how the air flows to it than most of us do. If you cant find his email, let me know and I will email it to you. He wont lie to you to get a sale. If it wont work, he will let you know. Just be as honest with him as you want him to be with you.

With as much air as the mighty Cummins moves ram air will have no affect at all. If the cummins wants air it will get it! Thats what the holset is for #ad

Thanks for the info and wow you guys are fast! Thought I would have to wait a few days for some input.

Rob - would love to attend the NW event but my better half already booked the weekend. Definately next time though.

Chad - Yes, please send me Scott's email so I can queary him directly.

Yes and no on the ram air thing. Its more about intake air temps than "ramming" the air anyplace. If your truck is stock, you wont see big gains with it on, but if you have high egt from fuel mods, then Scottys set up is far superior to any other set up, including the stock one.

We had a big thread (+40 some post) on this subject a few months ago. If you did a search ypu should find it.

You will ove the Psychotty Air... I think it is one of the best things I have installed on my truck. IT WORKS. I got DD3's, and a straight pipe, and my EGT's never go above 1150°. When the truck was stock, I could hit 1250° without much problem. I highly recommend installing a PSA on your truck, especially if you are planning to BOMB it to 300+ HP.

I'm with Evan on this one. . I had the bug deflector on my old truck [98. 5] and the Psychotty... well worth the install !! . . BTW the bug deflector just moves the bugs to mid windscreen v/s over the top. . that's why lots of guys who know me call me bee killer as I travel 144 miles to work [round trip] through many bee winter storage fields at 70+ mph the damnn bees just move up a few inches #ad

so you will still have the negative pressure area on the cowl

I'll 3rd this one. Without the Pyscotty on my 3500 I'd be backing off all time, bug guard makes no difference. If you don't pull loads or are stock you don't need a Pyscotty.
