Pull T-case or not?

Hey Guys,



I'm installing a new clutch in my 03' with NV 5600 this week. I've got a cheap Harbor freight trans jack. I'm trying to decide if I need to pull the T-case to help with the balance and weight.



Any input on what you guys have done would be appreciated.

i took the tcase off individually when I did my clutch for the same reasons you stated. there really wasn't that much extra work involved with doing it that way.

I never have, but that all depends on the amount of help you have. 2 people can pull it together easier than you can split it. If your jack isn't very good, put a floor jack under the tail shaft to help.

Be carefull my freind, that transmission weighs nearly 400lbs!

Take t-case off. It's easy and not that heavy and makes the job alot easier if you're doing it by yourself.
