Rear shocks and sway bar

OH my , I can't believe that today I actually hooked up some chains to an 18 wheeler (volvo with 50' moving trailer) and pulled it out.

The truck was stuck in snow and had the trailer at about a 70 degree angle from the tractor.

He had attempted to back around a curve and got the tractor stuck in snow.

Hooked up some chains to him and then put my truck into 4wd low and pulled him right out. The driver applied his brakes after he was clear of the snow, but I didn't realize he had his brakes on, I pulled him a few feet more with his tires screeching before he blew his horn to stop me. ( I was on clean pavement). The look on the drivers face was sheer amazement, he and his co driver are now firm believers in the power of these trucks.

This was the first time I ever attempted to pull anthing of that size. I was also amazed at the power in 4wd lo.

One happy to brag Cummins Dodge owner.

I pulled my boss' Mack that had a 50' pot trailer behind it. Had to pull it up to the shop to put in a new turbo. That thing weighs 31,500 empty. Did that with my '86 Ford before I got the Dodge. Didn't have any trouble at all. :D

That's the best argument yet to put a cheap disposable camera in the glove compartment! That picture would be worth :D :D :D :--) :D :D :D

A couple of months ago, we had to have a 40' trailer full of electrical supplies taken off of a job we finished. It sat there for 2 years and the brakes were locked up. I could'nt pass up the chance to pull the tractor and trailer down a dirt hill and onto the pavement where he could get better traction. No problem in 4 wheel low. He still could'nt get enough traction to pull the trailer off to the side of the pavement to unhook and let someone come and fix the brakes later. So I hooked back up and we pulled/pushed 8 sliding tires back about 30 or so feet.

Needless to say, the truck driver was nothing but:--) . And I was nothing but:D

I wish I did have a camera. :(
