Off Roading wild story

Competition Diesel Thunder in Spokane

I'm in a pull this Friday and I'm wondering how my new transmission (complete ATS, TC and controller) and tires are going to play out. In the past I've pulled in 4Lo2nd with aired down tires (30-40% tread left). The new tires are 37" SSR's with some major tread. Do I still air down? Also I was told from someone at ATS to pull in 4hi and let the transmission shift, then it was changed to 4Lo and 2nd. I'm getting all confused. I would really like to be in Lo3rd but I don't know if I've got the power to start in 2nd and manually shift up. I'm running 4. 30's so the gearing is about back to stock. Please advise...

I was going to send you an email but couldn't find your address. Did you end up making it to the Gardnerville pull? This year should be interesting, I think 3 durmaxes are signed up and another Dodge besides yours. Obviously there are going to be a bunch of guys there wanting to test their new 6. 0 fords. Should be interesting...

Gardnerville was a good pull. I made it up there late and just watched. I managed to get some new tires yesterday so I should be able to fend off some of those 6. 0's if the clutch holds. :D
