Pulling out a Chevy+Boat

Thought you guys would like this one, had to pull out this 2wd gas suburban and 28ft. boat. . the guy was amazed i pulled him with such ease. . i told him, "heck you'd be surprised what 4-LO and 1st gear can do behind a Cummins". . i think he's gonna buy a diesel next go round :-laf . . i ended up pulling out a couple other chevy 2wd gas jobs too. . the mud at the bottom of the ramp was nasty. This is the Sacramento River near downtown sacramento for you guys that know this area.

I know that ramp very well, as I got stuck on it many years ago when trying to pull a 25 foot Bayliner out behind my old 69 Chev 3/4 ton 2wd.



I usually eat my lunch there every day during the week as I work 5 minutes from there, it's very entertaining.



I can't offer to pull anyone out, as I am usually in my P-Pumped 10 VALVE... ... ...

Sherriff has no jurisdiction as Miller Park is a City of Sacramento facility.



You can probably get away with it if you are discreet.

Actually, Greg and I spent a few hours there again today... . helped some silly 2wd'ers out once again. There were even a couple 4x4'ers that could not make it without the help of the mighty Cummnzpowr. Anyway... . a Sac City cop rolled in and watched for a few so I went and asked him if we were ok with what we were doing..... first words out of his mouth verbatim "I hope you are charging the hell out of these idiots"... . all I could do to stop laughing. He was real cool and said we can do it all we want to keep the ramps clear. He even said it was cool with him that we parked in the no parking area as to stay close to the needy. What a comical, eventful day we had.

Good for you guys, Miller Park is a great place to watch people, but I won't launch a boat or try to bring one out of the water there due to heavy siltation on the ramp, the steep incline, plus trying to get the boat centered on the trailer in the current of the river.



Sac PD folks are pretty cool, as well as CHP who have their horse facility on the way into Miller Park.



Watch out for the skunks and feral cats if you stay after dark, they are thick.

SIG73:Yeah too bad too, i pulled out a 2wd 4-door short bed 6. 0L PSD that got BURIED with jetski's. Nice older woman and her "GOOD" looking daughter were glad to get towed out and didn't understand the inside joke about getting pulled out by a Cummins I didn't hassle them too badly :-laf



BigJake1:I didn't know Feral cats were so ferocious to watch out for, however in packs maybe they are, sometimes the bums go missing from the shrubbery :-laf Oo.

what is even funnier is that Suburban in the pic is an HD 2500 series Suburban, built for towing. lol. You can tell by its 8-lug wheels. Its a 6. 0L engine, around 325 HP.
