I use my truck mainly for work. I pull a 5000# tandem daily and might load another 2000-3000#'s in cargo. I took ya'lls advice and bought gauges first. I'd like to increase towing efficiency and MPG's. I have $500 to play with for an upgrade. I'm thinking Edge EZ box, what ya'll think?

I am by no means a expert but a EZ sounds good. Watch the classifieds for a used one and save some money. I have under $600 in my used EZ and new RV 275's. Its a huge improvement over stock! :D

I'm assuming you don't have a slush box since your lacking a transmission temp gauge. If a little more towing umph is what your looking for I would agree with Dieselnutz on a good towing combo EZ/275's. Anything more and you'll have to upgrade some of this... and some of that... . and it never ends. I was like you just a year ago and now look at me.

btw... . a FP gauge would be highly recommended also, I'm sure you've read the horror stories of dead LP's and VP's. Good luck.

I've never personally used the EZ/275 combo but you should see an increase in MPG. I started off with just an EZ w/stock injectors and gained about 1. 5-2 more MPG. Keep and eye on the classifieds, there's always someone looking to upgrade from an EZ to a Comp and from 275's to something bigger.
