Making a electric over hyd. brake unit out of an ABS pump?

In your comments you said you could not see the pilot hole.

Did you try using a 10 penny nail in the pilot hole? Would you have been able to see if it (nail) was centerered and hanging down to the bracket?

I don't think that would work as there is almost no visibilty of the holes in the brackets when they are in place. The masking tape worked just fine and allowed for very precise location of the holes.

Ken, what would you say is the clearance between the bottom of the Super Rail and the bed of the truck? Enough for a spray in liner?

Looks great. Nice addition to your website.

Casey

I would estimate that the clearance is about 3/8" (. 953mm). PullRite claims that it's enough space for a spray-in bedliner, but they do offer taller posts if needed.

Rats, Casey, I don't have a pic of mine without the 5th-wheel box in the way, but trust me, this is a color-matched Rhino-Lining (you can see the label over on the left side) under the Super Rails of my SuperGlide. It fits great! (of course, color-matching black is no big deal--right, Dean?)

How much did you guys pay for the Pull-Rite setups? I plan on getting a fifth wheel after I get my new truck. I wanted to get a realistic price and also wonder if you recommend getting the spray liner done after you install the hitch or before? BTW not sure I could cut up the new truck myself.

Take a look a Ken Lenger's site regarding dealers. They should be able to provide pricing. To spray in the liner before or after depends on what type rails you buy in my opinion. If the rails are a permanent style, you should spray before the installation. You could spray the box holes after taking the hitch out again. If you have the super rails, spray it after the hitch installation. Just remove the hitch and super rails before spraying. It sounds like there is enough clearance under the super rails to allow for the sprayed material. FWIW.

I bought mine from Big Discount RV for a great price. However, I had problems with shipping (Pullrite doesn't put any protection around the brackets in the box). Ended up having to re-finish them. I personally would recommend you find a local dealer to buy through. Hopefully they will "price-match" the internet price, or at least come close. Be sure to open the boxes before you finalize the purchase.
