brakes have been pulsating for a few months so i figured its time. Put new napa pads and rotors on front and replaced 1 bearing unit today. Last week i put new drums and shoes on rear. Still pulsating today on the test ride :{ so i took the 20 amp anti lock fuse out thinking it was that. Nope Now im thinking its the tires mabey oval shaped. Im no mechanic but have did many brakes repairs over the last 25 years this is peeing me off after dumping near 600 in parts. I started with rears because when i isolate the rear brakes with using only the emergency brake is pulsates

rotors are warped even thou there new. been there done that. pull the rotors have them put on rotor machine, bet you see them wabble. have also had same problem with rear drums. bummer when you pay for new parts and they are defective.

Pulsations

 I replaced my brakes with Napa and Mopar parts a few years ago. Sales guy at Napa says "you're set to go". My next stop was the in-house machine shop. The machinest said definately turn them. He did the drums and luckily I knew the brake guy at Jack Powell in Escondido and he turned the rotors on the vehicle to exclude runout error. Came out perfect or as perfect as a 99 can be. Panic stops are still pretty hairy.

You have pinpointed where the problem is, if the drums are not out of round then maybe a hub flange is bent. bg

I just did new drums on my '96 and it pulsed like crazy. Had them turned and the shop said one was out so bad it took 4 passes to square it up! Stops smooth now.
