I am trying to install my Power Puck but what is suppose to be easy it not going well. The pump connector is suppose to slide out and then it can be removed? It will not budge!!! Step one remove void sticker:eek:  Step two slide connector out to remove. Did not move! Step three take screw driver wrap with cloth pry on release mechanism. Did not move! Step four pull harder and harder. Does not budge!!!!! It should just pull right? Has anybody else had this problem? Well, I will go back out and try some more.

Are you talking about the injection pump harness ?

If so Please heed this warning, The 5star dealer that replaced my injection pump 4 months ago must have pryed that plug off too .

My truck never ran right scince ,stalling to an idle all the time. So finally I get a referral to cummins ,They have about 22 true working hours to try and figure out the problem. Low and behold the plug for the Inj pump was not making good contact to the pump. Please be careful so you dont end up like I did.

Got It!!!!! After finally breaking it loose and investigating the connector it appears to have glue on the top. I believe the Void sticker glue melted into the connector release. It appears also that the glue from the Void sticker melted the plastic on the connector. I used a knife and screw driver to release it. I did no more damage than was done from that glue. The Puck seems to be doing fine, runs smooth, with moderate power gains. After having a blue box on my last truck the power from the puck was not that noticable.

Thanks anyway,

Dean

dsmith , the power increase between the blue box and the puck , or va or ez is very different , not surprised you feel such a big difference . is your puck the new programable unit ?

DSmith1, sometimes the connector halves are hard to separate... sometimes even the locking mechanism is hard to disengage as there is too much buildup of clearcoat on the connection (the engine is clearcoated at the Cummins engine factory).
