We installed a in tank pump and was doing so just to get the guage werking again, i noticed the pump running with the old lift pump still installed, we went ahead and did the intire install as per the instuctions, im woundering if anyone has tryed leaving both or would you have a issue with the current draw on the circit? Harv

I did the intank conversion but the kit suppiled a bypass to eliminate the OE block mounted LP.

I also run a Holley Blue on my frame down by the tank with the intank pump in series and have #6 lines all the way to the filter and the VP. Both my LP's ( frame mounted and intank ) are driven by individual relays where each get a clean 12volt supply to run the pump(s). I couldnt get enough pressure at WOT with the intank pump alone.

If your block mounted pump is still there you must not have got the complete kit OR the kit must have been updated to keep the old LP in place????

Double check your instructions to see if they mention anything about removing the old block mounted LP. I would keep it there if you can because many have complained about the intank pumps being WAY low on pressure and I can vouch for that. MAybe to ease your mind rewire the block mounted pump with a relay driven by the new relay you just installed for the intank pump. That way both pumps get good clean supply voltage.

I would like to know of anyone has a kit to include a stock LP in addition to the intank. Or instructions including how to wire a stock LP.
