Who does pump calibration, repair, and fuel enhancements in the Southeast Region?

Generally anybody in the TN/KY area? I know there's a handful in IN, but I'd like to keep it close to home if possible. Needs to be as short a turnover time as possible. Just feeling out my options right now. ;) TIA

Might give City Diesel in Knoxville, TN a call. They did the pump work on my 95 and I was really happy with it, just calibrated it and put 3K GSK in. Was quite a bit more powerful than stock. Need to have 98 done also. Will take it there to.

i've always heard positive things about Dixie Diesel in columbia tn

Do they have a website? It took forever but I finally found City Diesel's site. The search feature is a real PITA on here now. :rolleyes:

Mark,

You have at least 2 choices in Nashville:

Taylor Diesel on Elm Hill Pike, 615-242-9550, seem like really good folks. They are willing to "enhance" the pump.

Diesel Power (owned by City Diesel), 615-256-8382, is off Murfreesboro Road in the Fessler's Lane area. They talked like they would only bring the pump up to Bosch specs. I think Wade has talked to their Service Manager, though. Seems like he said he would do some "enhancing" for a "pulling truck" application.

My fiance's cousin works @ Taylor Diesel so I may have some pull there, I'm not sure if they will enhance though? I need to make time to get down there and talk to the boss, and price the new Gov. assembly I need. :{

I called City Diesel today..... EXTREMELY nice people and treated me very well laying out prices and options. Then I called Dixie Diesel... EXACT OPPOSITE... made me out like an idiot because I had a a fuel plate & laser cut DV's in. Said they wouldn't be able to calibrate my pump because those items made it lose any sense of calibration. :rolleyes: That's ok they won't hear from me again.

Mark,

I had the same experience with Dixie.

I talked to The Man at Taylor several times. They actually had several P pumps there that he said they were modifying for higher HP so I figure they'll do 'bout near anything. He had no problem advancing my timing, either. I asked them about things like TST plates and he wasn't familiar with them. He did say they sell a performance plate, I don't know what brand, but they wanted over $300 for it. That price may have been installed. They also do turbo work.

City Diesel has great people. Good pump guy too. Can't remember the guys name that worked on my pump though. Get your pump worked on then they can hook you up with Keating Shelly, who owns Keating Machine. Your truck would be runnin then.

Waiting till I get a empty return run from Franklin or Nashville so I can swing by Taylor Diesel. Definately sounds like a place that will get my business, if not then it will be City Diesel. Plus the benefit of having a friend that works there might help out... ... doubtful... . but wishful thinking. :-laf

Thanks to all who replied! ;)

Joe got his new VP-44 from Diesel Power over on Fesslers Lane. I thought they kinda talked like the would be willing to do some enhancement work when Gap and I were in there returning Joesup's core. Nice guys, they carry Stanadyne, and AMSoil (among other things). They even gave us hats (yeah yeah, it doesn't take much... ).

Taylor is right down the road, so if you stop at one, you might as well stop at the other. Check 'em out.
