Pump Timing

I was wondering how difficult it is to check and sdjust the pump timing on a 98 12V? I have read the manual and Dave Fritz's site and still thinking about trying it. Any Tips or Tricks would be appreciated.

It's easy... Just do it!



The only special tools that you need are the delivery valve holder socket... . and the special delivery valve holder dial indicator setup.

Sounds like you may already have these.



It takes me about 1. 5 hrs... . but I'm slow. I've done 3 trucks so far... all of 'em went smooth.



It isn't hard... . just take your time... . and be very careful NOT to drop the nut or washer down into the engine... . the instructions even warn you of this.



BTW, some of the instructions refer to thrust washers... . the Snap-On (Blue Point) tool kit doesn't use these... . so don't worry... .
