Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) pump wire

what does it mean when you tap into the pump wire on a 98. 5 24 valve. then i read you get pump failure after that my question is on the edge ez i installed by just pluging into the unused three prong wire does that mean i taped the pump wire .

your EZ did not pierce the pump wire. bigger fueling boxes(Edge comp, TST P-Max... ) hook into the pump wire to alter pump duty cycle.

An EZ just plugs into the map sensor. If you had a EZ-Comp then you would be taping into the pump wire right at the VP Pump. .
