So...lately I've noticed that about every third or fourth start, I have to push the start button a second time to start the truck.
I press the brake peddle then the start button the same way every time.

Anybody else experiencing this?

It goes back in the shop tomorrow to get a new console chrome bezel and I'm getting them to re-look at the box level height difference so I'll talk to them about this as well.

Are you starting it with the door open? When I do this and the grid heaters are activated due to the outside temperatures, it will count down and I have to hit the start button again once it is done it's count down. I believe this only haves to me when the door is open and I'm starting it.

Not sure but I have been standing outside, pushed the brake peddle with my hand and then start button and its started no problem first time.

The brake pedal has a travel sensor not just the brake light switch, so if booster vacuum has bled down you have to push a little harder to get the same travel for the OK to crank the starter.

Had the truck at the dealer service today.

Do do you think that the push button start would act up? Nope. They tried it dozens of times. Not once did it take a second attempt. Checked for error codes. Nuthin!

I think my Ram got scared as soon as I drove it on the lot! LOL
