Good morning guys, it's been a couple weeks since I bothered you all with my endless "ooh shiny parts" questions. I was leafing through the December issue of diesel power, and noticed an ad for Pusher 3" Intake Manifold/Intercooler tubing for 91-93 cummins. My question is...is it really worth the $350? Lotta guys really seem to swear by Pusher, just wondering if this is a worthwhile investment.

Also, looks like a buddy is gonna be giving me his HX35 turbo. Needs a wastegate, but for free I don't think it's a bad deal :D any thoughts on this?

Thanks guys!

$350 for an intake and tube. I would pass.

I use a intake horn of a 98/2002 24 valve. The IC tube I had bent at a exhaust shop. Its a section of 3" exhaust tube. I have a bead roller. So it got a bead on each end.

BTW I have been on a dyno with this setup and a set of cool tubz's. Both combo's had the same numbers. Both setups were tested real close together. I had two pulls with my current setup. Then I shut the truck off and swaped to the cool tubz's and did two more pulls. Total down time between the first and second set of pulls was about 15 minutes.

I made this intake with some stainless steel exhaust pipe I had, if you have a welder made your own.

Here is a pic of mine. If you think about a 24 valve air horn. Do not get one off a common rail. 2nd gen 24 valve only/ The common rail air horn is just about as restrictive as the 1st gen air horn is.

Thanks Phillip. I do have some time to figure out what I want, this winter will probably see me rebuilding an HX35 for installation next summer.
