Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Pusher pump and warranty questions

Has any one had any DC warranty problems after installing a pusher pump/moving stock pump back or installing an after market pump (FASS, RASP etc).



I'm on my four lift pump in 50k since truck was brand new off of lot. Figure with the amount of $ I have spend on pumps alot (I change my own) I would be close to getting one of the above mentioned systems, but worry about DC voiding the remaineder of the engine warranty due to the change.



I any one has had any experience good or bad please let me know.

No one has had a VP go out after a pusher or other pump "upgrade" and taken truck to dealer for the VP?????What was the outcome warranty wise from DC.



Reason I ask was I had warranty work on a leaking trans fitting denied because I had Boost and EGT gauage!!! Another dealer did the work with out problem, but would hate to have to pay for a VP and the R&R after the dealer looked at a pusher/other system as an easy way to get out of paying for the warranty work.

100 views and no one has any experience or idea, if a pusher pump/alternative fuel system will void factory 100k warrant if the VP goes out? I gotta think that it would, knowing DC.



Looks like I'm getting a pusher or other system, cuz the VP will NEVER go out with one! LMAO.

Probably noone's replying because there's no way of knowing. It would really all depend on the individual dealer involved. On one end you have dealers that have voided an engine warranty because someone installed an aftermarket radio, on the other end I've heard of people that dyno'd at 600+ hp and blew up on the dyno later that day that took the truck to the dealer and had it warrantied. There's truly no way of knowing. If you want to be absolutely sure to keep your warranty in tact without a fight the only way is to leave your truck completely bone stock.

When ever I receive a joke from my brother from e-mails, there is one guy on the list with a Cummins e-mail address. When I installed my pusher-pump, I PM him with that exact question. His reply was in his professional opinion the pusher-pump would not negate the warranty! BUT remember, that was just his opinion and not a dealerships.
