I am using the Carter pump for a pusher. It just started "cycling. " For 3-4 seconds it will run at its usual speed, then for 3-4 seconds you will hear it speed up and run about 5-6 lbs more pressure, then it drops back down, and on and on. This is when it is started. After being run for a while, it will stay at the higher reading. Anyone seen anything like this? The pump has maybe 3000 miles on it.

are you sure that it isn't just voltage drop because of the grid heaters cycling?? this will be especially evident if you only used light wiring (14g or smaller) to the pusher pump.
