Just walked in the house from the test drive.
Before Pump intall:
Idle 9 psi
WOT 2-1 psi
Now
Idle 15-16 psi
WOT 7-8 psi
The pump is a Carter 7 psi, 73 gph. Only performance mod is a Powermax 3 with the box on 9 of course.
The install went really well, took me longer than I figured it would though. Mounted it on the frame rail by the tank. Used a relay, and tapped into the factory lift pump harness for a means of switching. You can really hear that sucker hummin at idle, but at least I know it is working. I mounted my guage on the shift lever just above the boot, makes for easy viewing when driving, also allowed me to run my line up the bottom through the shift boot, in case it does leak, should be able to be noticed. I have noticed that no fuel has hit the gauge yet, must just be air. I used normal nylon tubing like you would on a boost guage, no leaks in 3 days, thats with the shrader tapped into at the VP 44 with a/c line. Any thoughts or suggestions???? I need a digital camera for pics I know.
Peace,
Willie
