Gents,

okay I'm looking at different pusher pumps and fuel filter/seperator systems and there is choices out there dont know which is the best for me, I do want to increase my fuel amount due to more upgrades down the road dont plan on upgraded the valve bodie and torq-conv, yet until it dies or a new turbo until I get my discharge from the Marines, so for now this is the next upgrade.

will this help with the TST I have running 4/4 and 5/5 will this help with fuel-mpg at all. or will it be a waste of money for now untill I upgrade to the turbo and trans upgrades. any info will help me and also price ranges will help.

thanks

You're not going to see a gain in MPG from a pusher pump. If you've got enough box (like a TST) to use more fuel that your stock pump will supply then you may see an increase in power.

My opion is that you need to worry about your stock automatic, they can easily be destroyed with a TST and a stock turbo.

To determine that you need a fuel pressure gauge to see if you are dropping too low.

This is just my opinion. . but if you are going below 1 psi at WOT and 3000 RPM then it time to change the low side delivery.

A low cost yet effective way is to do like this fella did

Thanks for your military service and good luck with your decision to get out, tough decision with that many years in.

Matt,

well its not my choice I have 12 years in and I will be getting a medical discharge just pshing for the disability % and seps monies amount just a matter of time when the medical review board agrees.

but I guess I should have been more detailed I also wanted to mention a FASS system forgot that. dont know much about them and wanted to know good and bad on them.

my transmission will get upgraded in time man its some cash for it all. but my stock valve bodie has been drilled out and pressure is raised from stock and running 5/5 the torque convertor when it locks it locks I have neve felt a noticable slip so far. doesnt mean it isnt slipping though.

thanks, forgot to mention I was wondering about the FASS system if there really is a good or bad or when would you want this system. thanks for the imput I will look into a fuel press gauge now. also When I get out of the Marines I will be going back to Roseburg Oregon that is where I grew up. so ya never know maybe I'll see ya on the road. Thanks again.

That bits, too bad you couldn't do 8 more with a different duty but I don't know your situation. The FASS I can't say one way or the other except its allot more money. Seems those that have em like em.

No complaints about the FASS, I've installed two of them for friends and when the time comes I'll buy one of my own. Other than the money there's just nothing bad to say about them.

I don't have one yet (soon to change) but judging from the posts the FASS is the standard of the industry. You can tell by my sig that I've got a few goodies on my truck (with the obvious exceptions of the lift pump and intake box). I do feel I'm lacking in these two areas (a little too warm on egt and unknown low-side fuel pressure) and I'm working on fixing this situation.

I ran the TST with stock turbo and DTT transmission, and I do think I would sock away the FASS money toward the transmission. TST on 5,5 would scare me with stock trans (but hey lots of guys do so, and you really don't hear too many horror stories).
