Pusher pump wiring

I would like to Know witch of the two wires on the lift pump Is the hot wire. I have yellow and white with a stripe. Not sure witch one is hot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Joe

Hi Joe,

Have someone turn the key on while you use an electrical tester. One of the electrical testers I have has a pointed tip to push through the wire insulation into the wire and a clip on ground, works great. The hot wire to the pump only comes on for an instance when the key is turned to the on position. Sam

Thanks Sam. I did that and i could not get the light to come on. I turned the key on and then tried to get a light. I will have someone turn the key on for me and then see if the light comes on. Thanks again Joe
