Pusher Pump

Being a drag racer I probabley have a couple of electric fuel pumps laying in the garage. Should I install a pusher pump? Anyone have any pics?

Depending on the pump you might just want to install a single pump back by the fuel tank outlet where it should have been installed by DC. Several of us have done this and completely done away with the stock lift pump.



Now there have been some failures with these setups as well but I think we may have most of the bugs worked out. I just installed a Mallory 4140M with a Mallory 3140 prefilter. The system is adjustable from 4-40 psi. But this is just my $. 02 worth.

I notice that 4140 pump is made for gasoline. How do you know its compatible with Fuel?

Spoke with Mallory reps prior to installing the pump & prefilter to ensure compatability. The assured me it was fine just dont use it with alcohol or nitro-methane!
