This is in response to questions concerning fuel system upgrades.
This may not be the end all solution to fuel delivery problems but it has been in testing over the last 16 months on numerous vehicles with GREAT SUCESS.
Here is what we are doing and recommending for under 400 hp.
7 psi 100 gal. hr. pusher pump mounted in front of the fuel tank on the frame rail, cut in to the stock 3/8 line.
15 psi 100 gal. hr. pump mounted in the stock location.
We supply the pumps with all the fittings, hose, clamps, relays, fuse holders, terminals and wire to complete the install.
AN fittings and line to go from the lift pump to filter and filter to injection pump.
Auto Meter electric fuel pressure gauge mounted on pillar.
We use the original lift pump wires to switch the relays on and off, the relays will turn the pumps on and off.
Over 400 hp we recomend changing out the fuel lines and pickup in the tank to 1/2"
The ideal behind this set up is to gradually step up the pressure so the work is DIVIDED among the pumps.
You have gravity feeding the 7 psi pump, the 7 psi pump feeds the 15 psi pump so it's only job is to feed the injection pump and not pull from the tank.
This system will maintain 15psi under any situation and has been tested up to 485 hp.
