War!! Now or later?

I must like mine twice as much then, 42,000 first year, outta warrenty in 10 months. :D I'm sure there's guys with way more miles than that to. The last 2 trucks I was outta warrenty within the first year, the 3yr/36,000 miles thing just doesn't cut it.

EMarsh - I see by your sig you added the underhood blanket that DC so thoughtfully cut outta these trucks - assuming you drove it at least a little while without the blanket, have you really noticed any significant advantage in putting it on - and do you hafta remove all the hood mounted wiring to install it - or do most of the electrical stuff simply run between the blanket and the hood?

Just went over the century mark on my 01...

Where do I get my TDR grill badge????? I love this truck..... If she doesn't get wrecked, I'm going to be like the USAF and the BUF (B-52), keep her running forever!

Gary- yes adding the underhood blanket made a big difference, I posted immediately afterwards on the cost, don't remember now, but well worth it. Yes, I just put mine on over all existing wires plus the hood light on/off switch I had added. Just be sure to get 8 or 10 plastic "buttons" to secure it.

Has anyone put more miles on a new truck? I love this thing!

Let's see, I bought it 2 yrs ago on the 4th of July (note the color) and I just rolled over 43,000. So I'm almost averaging 11,000 every 6 months.

I put drive my truck atleast 1400 - 3000 miles per month or 35,000 miles year. And yes these trucks are great. The more I drive or tow with it the more I like it in knowing that I bought the right truck.

With my '99 I was out of warranty in just over 6 months. With my present '01. 5 I have put 53k on it since Oct. 1. The newest one, '02, gets babied it only has 6. 6k since feb 18.

Miles

Just turned 15k took delivery 21 Dec 01- a little over six months ago- daily driver to work and some short trips- been very reliable- I am on a 28-30k pace per year

Had the truck since Oct. 2000 and am at 54000 now. That's about 2700/mo and 16200 in 6 months. It's amazing how many miles add up when your fiancee lives almost 200 miles away:D
