I also got tired of bumping and loosing my hard to find seating position, put a spst toggle switch just under all the control switches on the drivers side seat and tapped it into the blue/red directly under the drivers seat, this also controls the passenger seat, the hot wire.

Now nobody adjusts their seat until I say they can! Including myself!

I'll need to figure out how to add a lock to the toggle switch to keep my wife from using it. Might not be a good idea though since her foot couldn't reach the brake pedal then!

wmeyers: there is a way to prevent all movement EXCEPT front to back. You would need a dpst toggle switch and connect it to the same blue/red wires behind the seat side cover (instead of under the seat). I could live with moving the seat ONLY back and forth, its all of the other adjustments that gets totally messed up.

I know what you are talking about. I just came in from trying to get my seat re-adjusted after bumping it while cleaning it out looking for some stuff. Crazy thing is I didn't find what I was looking for.

ramman, take a minute and remove the drivers side left seat plastic cover, (lever first 1 phillips head, 3 phillips head for cover)see if you have blue/red wires going into the top of the 3 switches, if yours is the same, simply cut the 2 feed wires to the back up/down and front up/down and place a switch between the cuts in each wire.

No switch for me. I find that I adjust my seat quite a bit on long drives. One of my favorite positions is to tilt the steering wheel all the way up, run the seat all the way up and forward. Makes it hard to get in and out but sure gives you a different perspective on things, sort of like driving a cabover semi.

emarsh - that's a great idea; I don't mind when it gets moved front to back -- it's all of the other settings that my back has grown used to and which are hard to find again!
