Putco boss bars

Any experience with the Putco Boss Bars? I ordered some back around the 1st of October and they have been on back order from Putco ever since. Something about them having problems getting materials. Same old story last two months. I am starting to wonder if Putco is the company to go with. I ordered the full length ones that go from wheel to wheel. Just wondering if they are worth waiting for. Any other good options? I need something that runs from wheel to wheel so I can step up and reach into the bed. What I am not looking for is a generic running board. Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Not ruling out boards, just cheap boards. Those from J-J look nice. Still undecided.

If your truck will see a lot of salt, I would recommend the chrome-plated stainless steel bars by Westin. I installed a set on my '96 Ram Dually and they still looked great after six Northwest Ohio winters. I will be buying a set of Westin wheel to wheel bars for my 2003 Dually after Christmas.

The Westins were my second choice but I like the 4 inch pipe Putco uses. It's stainless too, not chrome plated, but stainless.
