Finished the Putco 4"Stainless Steel Boss Bars installation this weekend and wanted to let everyone know how it went. The install is very easy and straight forward, all the parts fit like they should. Just remove the two body mount bolts and install the hangers finger tight. I used two jack stands to hold the bars in place, while I attached them to the hangers. This is opposite of what the instruction say, but definitely much easier. Then just level and install the two stiffener brackets. Putco has a way of doing things right, and these bars are no exception. They follow the truck lines very well, and are rock solid then stepped on. Currently Putco is the only manufacturer of 4" ss nerf bars, the extra large tubing seems more at home on the larger trucks, I previously had 2 1/2" nerf bars.

Put mine on in 12/03 dually set also, never been sorry, look great have 14000 miles so far. Very easy to install and very stable. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Got to love them 4" bars. Someplace to put your foot with confidence. Got a great price but they do not seem to carry them at the site anymore.

LOOKING good y-knot

Those are pretty sweet looking bars, y-knot. I also ordered the Piaa 80 pro XT fogs lights. They should be here tomarrow. Thanks for the info on the PIAA,s/coobie:D

I'd sure order a set of those if I knew that they wouldn't interfere with my Tork-lift camper tie-downs. Nice lookin' rig y-knot.
