Ok, well ive got the truck. . it is a 99 f-250 psd with a ZF6 transmission... ive got the new motor. . it is a 95 cummins rebuilt with a little extra horsepower... and i have an idea of what i'll need... Adapter plate from destroked, custom flyweel ,SBC Ford clutch, acceerator pedal setup from a super duty gasser, radiator hoses, boost tube alterations, shorten driveshaft, move trans back by flipping the transmission bracket around(or so i was told) extend 4x4 front driveshaft, minor things to make sensors work... What have i missed? and anybody got any tips?Oo.

Get the best of both worlds and get a Dodge with a Cummins already in it. It'll be cheaper, easier and better.

Once the engine is clear you may need either a hammer or metal cutting tool to flatten that seam at the bottom of the firewall. You might not need to make any driveshaft modifications, i didn't for an automatic.

You can probably get your flexplate from destroked.com as well, just ask him for anything you need. You'll need a Ford 6. 0 starter from ebay. I recommend the quad engine mounts from autoworldmt.com as well. May only need to widen the holes on the transmission corssmember.

You can get rid of your 7. 3 vacuum pod and motor and adapt the hoses to the Cummins unit. That way your batteries stay where they are, just have to make a tight bend back to mount your air intake where the vacuum accumulator used to be.

Unless you are reusing your stock PSD exhaust, you can buy a kit that has a Dodge Cummins downpipe going into a Ford Super Duty exhaust. Got mine on ebay. There will be room for a 4", probably even a 5" downpipe. If you want a fan shroud, you will have to modify your original.

Get your sensors working before cleaning up the unused PSD wires, just keept the harness intact. You will probably only use engine coolant temp at the rear of the driver's side of the block and the oil pressure sensor under the fuel pump. Install the sensor adapters before you put the engine into the truck because they will be hard to reach once the engine is in. Scott said he will soon have tach sensor stuff ready too, check the destroked.com website. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Well destroked has been telling me they have been working on the flywheel clutch setup,,, He keeps puttin me off every week sayyin they should know somethin by the next week, i know he's a busy guy but i need some answer quick on that part of the deal... But i do think i might have found a place that can make me a custom cummins flywheel that will accept a ford clutch and transmission...

Scott can definitely build what you need. I've been bugging him for a part for months but he can hardly keep up with orders. This isn't his full time thing, he just started doing it to help others like us. Are you 100% on the ZF6?

yeah im 100% on the ZF6... i heard back from scott tonight , he says he thinks he has things figured out, and is going to talk to his dealers and email me back tomorrow.
