EGR solenoid 2007.5 6.7 mega

intercooler sourcing and selection problem

My 7.5 3500 with 450k on it, while driving it will ding , all the gauges will bottom out, warning lights come on all for a second and the engine keeps running like no problem at all. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t for days. It doesn’t seem to effect its performance and its very unpredictable. Truck is deleted and I use a Raceme tuner. Any ideals or suggestions...???

That sounds like what use to be the traditional crank sensor going TU. Does Cummins still use a crank or cam sensor ?

In addition to batteries, check main grounds for tightness and corrosion.

Please let us know what it ends up being.

Cheers, Ron

Not sure, but congrats on the 450K.

Sounds like the bus connection to the cluster controller is being interrupted. That could be a connection problem, a ground problem, or a bad cluster. Have you run a cluster test to see if it shows any codes and done a code check on the ECM to see if it is logging and DTC's? Start there and see if the system is trying to tell you what is wrong.
