What is a safe HP increase for using the 185 PW injectors. How much can you increase fueling in the pump before the injectors limit the fuel? I was looking up on the POD injectors and see that they were from a 180 HP engine but still flow more fuel. Is it because it has 4 larger holes and you can force more fuel then the 6 hole stock or 5 hole PW? What are your guys thoughts?

I think back in the day they were determined to make +25rwhp, hence the 185hp name. Course back then there weren't too many guys running anything bigger than a hx35 besides KTA (1st genners that is).

Stock 6 holes tips are 6 x . 009. POD's are 4 holes x . 014. This is why they flow more fuel. I do not know what size the PW's are though.

reason I ask is that the local diesel pump guy was saying that the VE pump was good for running like 210 HP. and he did not see a restriction at the injector on the older engine al least not like the 24 valve engines. He mentioned that if you go higher than 210 you loose some of th fuel cam adjustments? or something like that. I know that a few places can rebuild a pump to 210 HP. is that with stock injectors? so if you added some good flowing injectors like POD's would the Hp be more like 270 HP.
