Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Pyro gauge not working

I have an Autometer Cobalt series pyrometer that isn't working. It's the second one I've put in. Neither one has worked since the get go. Wandering if anyone else is or has had the same problem... ... . getting really anoyed.

yes i have the same problem with an auto meter ultralite but once in a blue moon it works and then it doesnt work for another few weeks

You guys ever find out why? Gauge or probe? I want mine fixed!

Im on my second Autometer probe(first was warrenty) that starting going screwy again after only about 3K!!!!!! AT THE MOMENT it happends to be working. Iv come to the concluesion the probes are just garbage. When the first one when bad, Autometer didn't want the old one back and they sent a new one out like they do it all the time!
