I'm just curious about this one... Where is everyone running their pyro probe? Before of after the turbo? I think it should always be in the manifold, but hey, thats just my opinion. :D

I put mine post turbo on Cummns recommendation. All of the service manuals I have at work say to put the probe 3 to 4 inches down pipe from the turbo. I know that this doesn't give the same reading that everyone else gets , but I am careful about how hot my readings are. I checked our fleet and out of 132 tucks that I checked all were post turbo. Some of our dumps will show 1200 after a long hard pull without any problems.

Hey Evan, if someone actually votes "I don't have an EGT gauge", does a robot hand come out of the computer and smack them upside their head?? :D :p

Pre for me!!

PRE for me too. Tom, I think what happens if one selects "I don't have a EGT gauge" is The new "Meltdown" virus is released into their computer and the only thing that shows on the screen is a puddle of molten aluminum.

(BTW, cap came today, thanks. )

Pre Turbo on front three cylinders.

Hey tjlaffite, I heard that the front exhaust ports runn the hottest. Since your measuring both, which is hotter, front cylinders or rear?
