pyro sensor install?

I want to monitor EGT's so have purchased an Edge CTS monitor with a pyrometer probe. Any recommendations as to sensor location? Drilling and tapping exhaust manifold tip's, etc?



'07. 5 single cab C&C flatbed, manual 6 speed.

I put mine in the y of the manifold. Angle drill and TAKE YOUR TIME. Use anti sieze on the probe so you can remove it if you need to. I like my edge , gives lots of info besides egt

I like the Edge too, great for monitoring parameters. In the manual it states that I can force a regen cycle but I have been unable to do that. I'm wondering if some of the instructions in the manual are just generic to different vehicles.

I have never been able to force a regen with mine, should work but never has. got everything for egr and dpf delete so I can not worry about it. pyro gauge instructions are good ones.

My factory warranty expires next year and I suspect some of my exhaust system parts will also expire at that time.

I am looking for some exhaust parts. My wife threw out, (yep you read that right), my dpf, nox, and cat when I left town. She said they were rusty and nasty so she did me a favor!
I am going to need those part for my CA smog check next year.
