Well, it happened again. #@$%!My quadzilla adrenaline with pulse monitor went insane once again. The same thing happened at the end of last year. Apparently something inside the main box shorted out and gave the signal to dump full fuel to the engine with no throttle input. Last time it happened i had the turbo timer feature on which prevented me from shutting the engine off with the ignition. I had to disconnect the quadzilla at the ecm plug in. This time it went nuts with my wife driving. It began dumping fuel while she was cruising on the highway. She was able to get the truck stopped on the side of the road thankfully. So far i havent found any signs of engine damage but the brakes are definately shot from having to stop the truck while it was trying to accellerate. I sent the adrenaline back to quadzilla and stated that i do NOT want it back. I have yet to get a reply. Should i ask for a refund? The quadzilla never passed 6 months without failing. Or should i just call it an $800 lesson in programmers?

Sounds like something the NTSB should be made aware of. Glad nobody got hurt.
A defect like that just isn't acceptable and they should happily give your money back before someone more important hears about this.

Have to agree with the Smarty idea. Thats the same reason I got one. Got tired of the TST PowerMax screwing up.

Thanks for the replies gents. I totally agree that this type of malfunction is unacceptable. The first time it happened I was unable to shut the engine down with the ignition. I was totally baffled how it could still be running while i was holding the keys in my hand! It finally killed when i started unplugging wires while the engine shook violently and blew black smoke like a freight train. This time I was working while it happened to my wife. She stood on the brakes, pulled over, threw it in neutral, and turned it off. I knew i should have gone with the smarty after the first time.

What should i do about over boost codes if I run the smarty Jr? Does it have a built in boost fooler?

Run a boost fooler and your good as long as the boost fooler. The unfortunate truth is they are electronic also and can go bad. At least if they do the truck shuts or goes into limp mode off instead of running away.

Thanks guys, I think I will try the Smarty jr. Im just not ready to drop the cash on injectors yet. I will also hopefully be adding a higher performance fuel pump in the near future. I sent another email to quadzilla and was informed that they did recieve the adrenaline and were looking into it. I must admit that last time this happened the customer service was top notch. This time though, the jury is still out... ...

Well, I have heard nothing on a refund. When i requested a refund I was told that they did recieve the Adrenaline and were looking into it. The first time this happened customer service was more than outstanding. Actually, the service was so good i was willing to run it a second time despite it nearly destroying my truck. This time though, it seems that Quadzilla doesnt want to resolve the problem. I had the Adrenaline less than a year total so it should still be under warranty. Heck, its only been 5 months since the last time it seriously malfunctioned. Im starting to think that this may be something the NHTSA should be made aware of?
