quadzilla boost fooler questions??

anyone using a quadzilla boost fooler? just what does it do? how many psi

will it let a stock turbo produce? will it hurt mpg?

In just installed then quadzilla boost fooler recently. I have noticed with my

stock 2006 A/T DWD 2x4 3500 bighorn 325 610 with w/replacement of

oem muff. to aero turbine muff. 40x40 and also s&b intake system . i have come to the conclusion that it ran stronger accelration off the bottom -----

trough out till it oproched 106 mph. with the ecm un touched stock setting

id think it hasent done any thing for me. but slowly work the turbo harder.

this may help me from spinning the rear duals and saveing rubber on the

4 drivers. fuel is about the same 22gal. on the flat desert ca roads

owned one for a while. It boosted to about 35-38 psi. It got worse mileage. Had lots of power

The fooler modifies the signal the ECU see's from the MAP sensor by reducing the amount of outgoing voltage over the range of boost. This keeps the waste closed longer and allows you to build more boost on the top end to keep EGT's down.



Where I could easily hit 1400 it will settle at 1200 and stay there on a hard pull. Where the boost would hit 32 then drop to 28 it holds it nicely into the mid 30's under moderate aceleration. The fooleris set to open the WG at 40 psi to make sure you don't over speed the turbo. I can hit 34-35 easily and then it will creep up to 40 in lockup when the rpm's get to about 3000.



I am seeing a bit more lag when launched from an idle. Build a little boost first and no problems plus it pulls much better in the mid and high range. I am seeing no mileage difference that is traceable to the fooler, unless you count the grin factor. :-laf:-laf

Do you think the fooler is worth the money, my truck is stock and for the most part plan on leaving it that way except for maybe a high ram intake elbow. anyway truck pulls good, but pulled a load this weekend and lost some speed on a couple of hills, not good. However I'm pretty sure it would have pulled them with the extra 5-10 lbs of boost. No overboost codes so far?

Yep, well worth the cost. Especially with stock fueling. The extra boost allows you a bot more power when you need it and it keeps the EGT's down also.



Add 60 HP with a cheaper box that doe snot have fooling and you won't even slow down on the hills that used to cause the truck to work a little. :-laf
