Thanks for the reply. I was seeing 20 lbs of boost with the XZT and I installed an adjustable boost elbow set on max and now I'm only getting 22 lbs of boost. Am I missing a step in this setup?

No I haven't checked for leaks yet but I think I need to start looking into making a test plug for the turbo. When I turn off the XZT, I still get the same readings. It will be awhile before I can test for leaks. Any other ideas?

You should be able to see up to about 22-24psi on a stock truck if you have modified the wastegate or use a boost elbow. Different boost elbows will give you different results based on the size of the bleed hole or lack of a bleedhole in them.

On a bone stock truck with a stock wastegate you should see around 18 psi.

With the XZT+ on high you should see 28-30psi with a modified wastegate.

I am also seeing around 19. 5 with my xzt+ and a stock wastegate set up. What position do you leave the switch in? Timing or fuel? I have tested for leaks up to 25 psi with nothing found. I will watch this thread very close!

I tried leaving it in Timing but and I got about 1 MPG more. Now I'm running on the timing and will see what the MPG are. I have a feeling that my right foot will defeat any MPG gain. It's alot more fun plus I just installed my DTT intake and I'm tromping it all the time. I seem to have more switches than an airplane with the new ATS Commander, XZT, and Nexus guages. I'm always flipping something.

Ok, do any of you have an ETH? I have called Quadzilla and emailed them and there does not seem to be alot of info available. I have read that some of the other boxes do not make as much power on the HO engines. IF any of you have one of these on an 01 HO I would be interested in your impressions and what you found if you had run it on a Dyno.

I am actually a bit more intrerested in how it will perform on high while towing.

Bringing this back up because I got mine today and guess what? I still only make 19. 5lbs of boost. It will momentarily bounce up to to about 20. 5 WOT but immediately come back down to 19. 5.

Any ideas? I thought that I shoud have gotten about 28-32 like I did with the Edge box.

Runs a bit stronger on the highest setting.

I thought that the boost fooling would allow the boost to be higher. Am I wrong? Do I need to modify something else?

OK, No takers? Well, I downloaded the 2000 file on the recomendation of Jacob at Quadzilla and the power is stronger. Still only have 20 lbs of boost at WOT.

I am of the feeling that the Edge might be a bit stronger. Does anyone have any info that it is? Perhaps dyno runs? Even Jacob felt that there should be more boost.

Anyone?

I have the 1002 tune loaded right now did you feel like the 2000 file gave you anything at all? Right now I'm most interested in mileage so I haven't been in the go pedal much. D you mainly run the box on the fuel setting?

Yes, the 2000 file was a little bit stronger. I have been running it with fueling and timing. I will be towing the TT here very soon and will have the new exhaust on it by then so I am anxious to see how it performs. I really do not care that much about the fuel, but if it burns a bit less I will not complain.

What kind of boost pressure are you getting?

Want to bring this back to the top. I downloaded the beta 2000 and it runs strong and I'm getting 23 lbs of boost. I just bought new silicone boots and an adjustable wastegate arm and when I get a chance to install I will post results. Does anyone know if Quadzilla will be writing any new downloads for the XZT? I would love to do away with the stock setting and have two timing + fuel settings.

I used to have the quadzilla xzillaraider on my truck, I dont know how this compares to the xzt, i liked it, went up to 120 hp. Had to take it off though because it would void the warranty on my new injection pump. Anyways, when I had it on my truck, I was getting 30 lbs of boost easily on the highest setting, I had the exhaust, intake and such done, ATS exhaust manifold, and the boost elbow, that was it, on the hx35. that was even on stock injectors. Now I just have the superchips with a boost fooler and 275s and upgraded fuel system and can just crack 30 lbs, but feel safer about it, haha.

Try to disconnect the wastegate hose and just put a plug in. Eliminate the wastegate all together... then try to see if you are getting more boost. Also a pair of vice grips on the hose will do for a test. Its possible to have a sticky linkage, it may hang, check the rod also!
