Does anyone have any suggestions for a quality dash cover that fits well and does not cover any speakers or vents? Need one for a 2016. Looking for a black carpet version.

There are several good one's available on Amazon.. I can't remember the brand I purchased but, like you I wanted a preformed (well fitting) and one that allowed the sound system to function well... I suggest you check there...

I had one from genos garage that was pretty good. Fit well looked decent. I had a grey one and while I liked the way it looked and matched the existing dash but at certain sun angles it did cause reflection in the windows at times. Iirc genos recommended Black for that very reason

I’ve had both Dashmat brand and Covercraft and was happy with both. I’ve had 3 gray mats and my current is tan. I guess I’ve never noticed a glare, but anything is possible.

Look on carid.com. They have quite a few also.

That would be great, let me know how it works out. Photos after install would be cool too.

I Received the Ultimat on Friday. It's a very good fit and has a cut out for the headlight sensor. I am impressed with the quality however I am sending it back because I don't care for it now that I see it in the truck. I will be getting a sunshade instead. At least that way I'll be covered when it's parked.

I use both.

So is it just cheap looking or what? Have you tinted your windshield yet? It helps tremendously with heat, probably blocks 50% of the heat if you get the expensive ceramic tint. Once you tint your windshield you will wonder why you have been missing out all these years. I still want to get a dashmat so I can throw things up there without them sliding around.

Tint on your windshield? Thought that was illegal? Or is it strictly UV and no shading?

Yes it's illegal, but so is tinting your side windows....I've had plenty of tickets for tinting the side windows but they will never know if your windshield is done. If you can find a tint shop who carries Llumar Formula One Stratos 50% go in and take a look. They usually have a little display where you can feel the heat difference with your hand, it's pretty amazing. Once you have it you will never own another vehicle without it. Instead of being able to fry an egg on the dash it keeps approx 60% of the heat out, and 99% UV out. Don't you ever feel the top of your legs, top of the steering wheel, and forearms getting baked while driving in the heat? Well, bake no more....tint not only protects you and your interior, but it also cuts down on glare during daytime driving and headlights at night. It's a must have and promise me once you get it you will wonder how you lived without it for so many years.

I put a bit of shelf liner cut to fit in the depression in the center dash. We found some in brown which looks good in my truck (‘15 Longhorn) at Wallyworld. Some Velcro on the corners secured it nice. My dash top gps’ don’t slide around on it.

Here's a quick video to show you what I'm talking about. Not sure what type of tint he used but it's some sort of ceramic. 50% is a shade darker than 70% used here and it will block out even more heat than the 70%:

I realllllly like that style of tint. A friend of mine first told me about it around 2 months ago. I’d certainly run on side windows, but since I’m running commercially, I don’t think I could swing the windshield tinting.

Can any of you guys with dash mats please post some photos?

Yes you can get away with it, they have tint that's nearly clear...even at 50% it's light enough to not be noticed. You can go lighter if you want.
