I just bought this truck in December and I have noticed two quarky items that popped up around January, after I bought the truck of course. Anyways the first problem is that when I go into reverse for a short distance, like backing out of a parking spot, the truck will not shift to second gear until I pass 2500 rpm, and third, and so on. It shifts without any problem after the first cycle of gears, and will not do it again until I go into reverse again. I thought it might have to do with the cold alaskan winter, but it still does it now with temps reaching 50+, so I dunno.
Second, I have a high pitch whining sound that comes from, you guessed it the transmission area, that only happens at 17 to 20 MPH. It only seems to do this a couple times when the truck is cold. Is this normal? I have changed all the fluids in the truck with mopar brand lubes since purchase, can't wait to hear the comments about that one. Sorry for the dissertation, any help would be great, Thanks!
