Competition quarter mile question

Hello everyone.



I was wondering what kind of et's you run. I have searched a few times and found some threads, but mostly for bombed trucks.



If anyone could fill me in on their stock et, and then, what kind of improvements you got from individual modifications, i would be very interested.





I just ran my truck a few weeks ago (completely stock) for the first time. It is an 02 4x4, QC SWB, w/ auto and 3. 54's. I ran four times and got 17. 6 to 17. 7 on all runs with mph at 76-77.



I have a comp on the way, but will be hooking it up w/out the pump wire for now. I also plan to put a turnbuckle on the wastegate.



Any guesses on what that will give me in the quarter mile? I plan on finding out for sure, but it will likely be a while before I can get back to the track.

My '99 with a comp box(wire not hooked up yet ),and K&N runs 17. 30s 1/4 mile.

You won't stay stock long.

what launch technique were you using ?



my 2000 2500 4x4 quadcab Short bed went 18. 49 @73. 7 mph bone stock except for amsoil air filter , this was hitting the peddle when the light turned green , no powerbraking to build boost , 2000 was last year of the 215hp engine .



added a va , which will be similar to the comp with out the pump wire , picked up 5mph and into the 17's ,, i need to find my slips ...

I was "building" approx 15# boost at the line, and attempting to leave on the last yellow (my reaction times were:{ ), and letting the auto trans do the shifting.

But in 4 runs , all were in the 17. 3s.

Yeah Doug, I'll be bringing my son with me this time.



Maybe when I fall asleep at the tree this time, he can smack me and tell me it's time to go. :-laf

It's just those two "headlights" in the other truck that are distracting.
