i need ball joints on my 04. 5 2500 and i was wondering if i get the carli ball joints will the camber degree be correct. Moog joints have different degrees to them and i want my alignment to be correct. also where do i get carli joints and what are people using for the lowers since carli doesnt make them yet. Thanks Aaron

Yes your alignment will be correct. You should not need lowers. The only issue I have had so far is with the uppers (three sets so far). You can get the joints from anyone listed here.

I just had the Carli joints installed and all I can say is wow. They installed the Napa lowers. They are greasables. I was told that the lowers should last a lot longer with the good Carlis on top. Steering, handling and ride quality has never been so good, not even when new. Go on the Carli site and look for their dealers/distributors. There may a bit of a wait but it seems like the supply is getting better. They are expensive but in my opinion you do get what you pay for.

The only way the camber would be off is if you bent the front housing... ... ... ...

I got VERY tired of the ol'wander and correct BS of my steering on my truck. I had one set of ball joints replaced under warranty around 25K miles and those were starting to go at 55K or so.

I ordered the Carli uppers and got a set of Moog lowers and installed them myself. Finally, all greaseable. Drove the truck about 600 wonderful, 95% wander free miles... ... then, I got the Defiant truck products steering stabilizer that mounts to the frame using the sway bar bolts. This upgrade then uses a bearing and new nut/shaft that threads in place of the nut on your steering box sector shaft.

Now - 100% wander free truck. :D

I drove a buddies 05 last weekend and it was doing exactly what mine was before I changed out the ball joints. I had thought about forcing my hand with the dealer an have new joints put in under my extended warranty, but I grow so tired of fighting those *******s. Way I see it, if you want something fixed right, you have to do it yourself.

It's always good to hear the success stories of what works. The oem mfg's have to many share holders to make the consumer come first.

I am headed out the door to go do some last minute testing before the B1k with a big Dodge running the Carli Ball joints and a few other goodies.

Bob is this problem on the 4x4 or also on the 2x4. I have never experienced this on my 2007 - 6. 7 it has the new rack and pinion steering. the only problem I have had was one loose steering link pin. I replaced both. Did a 4 wheel alignment need to go back for a minor touch up. I have over 200,000 Km and this is the only issue I have had. But in the long run when it does come time to replace the ball joints I would like to replace them with greasable ones.

I think it is mainly 4x4 uppers, some of us have had to replace lowers also.

Today we were out running a Hemi powered race truck through the main at Barstow over 60mph with the Carli Ball Joints.

I'm on my 6th set of ball joints.

Napa sells upper and lower greaseables. I just replaced the first full set of napa greaseables, as I felt a little play when wiggling the tire. Not bad, but I had to take it all apart for axle u-joints so I figured why not.

I was amazed to find the uppers solid as a rock, and the lowers were loose. This is a first for me, it has always been the uppers that were more worn out.
