2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Question about clearance lights...and part #55077559AB

as many of you know, when ordering clearance lights for our 2001's, Dodge sends you the wrong lights, which is part #82205120. Many have said ordering the 2003 lights will actually land you the proper 2001 clearance lamps. So, I went to the dealer to order the lamps, and I received 2003 lamps, part #55077559AB. This is the orange light cover only, no lamp, wiring, or template. My questions are ...



1) Are these the correct lamps to fit on my 2001. 5?



2)Will I need to order a wiring harness or is it already installed above my headliner.



3)Can I purchase the bulb somewhere other than Dodge, i. e. Autozone or Napa?



Thanks a bunch for any help. A shame this has to be so difficult!

And I replied "Try P/N 55077067AA for model years 1999-2002. " What is your question?

Well I thought my questions were in the original post. What is the part you are giving me the # for?



Would appreciate any help... specifically on my 3 questions above.

No. Part number 55077067AA is for a single lamp for model years 1999-2002. These lamps list at about $13 each from the dealer.

I don't know. There was no harness in my model year 2000 Ram 2500.

Probably. Lots of places sell bulbs.



You could probably buy the lamps at someplace other than the dealer too. You would need to know the manufacturer of the OEM lamps. The lamps included with the the kit (P/N 82205120) are Peterson Manufacturing 120 series lamps shown here.

I order kit 82207252 for the 2003, but I have a 2001 does anyone have a templet for 2nd gen trucks?

You Do NOT need to order a wire harness, unless you have the extra $$ for it... I went to the parts store, got 5 light receptacles, that hold 194 bulbs, ran 2 wires, one hot, one ground, up to the top, drilled the holes FROM THE INSIDE out, as there is already holes cut in the bottom piece of the roof for the lights. . if you need more help, PM me... I have the 01-02 lights on my truck as well! Good luck!
