On my 2010 it turn the engine light on when I was pulling my rv. They was a small shop that look up the codes for us and got the engine light to go off. The code said it was to do with my turbo. When I took it in to Towbin Dodge the said there were no codes on it after they had it for days. My question is are the codes not logged on the computer even if the check engine light is not on? I have the Dodge extended warranty. Are they just giving me the run around?

To shut off the lights the shop cleared the code which erases them from memory. No the dealer wasn't giving you the run around.

It is also NOT legal to clear codes without repairing, but worse in this case now the dealer can;t help you untill the problem shows up again.Next time you have a light pop up in the middle of nowhere record the code and decide how fast a response will be needed.A cheap code reader can be sourced from many different sources
